Rowe Town Library Rowe, MA

The Rowe Town Library, originally built in 1935, is a cherished landmark within its scenic home town. In 1962, a children’s room was added to accommodate the growing need for youth programming, further cementing the library’s role as a community hub. The library has remained a vital space for learning and connection across generations.

In 2025, SSV was commissioned to assess the building and provide repair recommendations, alongside design of a single-story multipurpose meeting room, housed within a new addition. This project aims to preserve the library’s historic character while updating the space to better serve the needs of modern-day patrons, including improved accessibility. These design measures are intended to ensure that the library continues to be an integral part of Rowe's landscape and community for decades to come.
