Rowe Town Library Rowe, MA

The Rowe Town Library, originally built in 1935, is a cherished landmark within its scenic home town. In 1962, a children’s room was added to accommodate the growing need for youth programming, further cementing the library’s role as a community hub. The library has remained a vital space for learning and connection across generations.

In 2025, SSV was commissioned to assess the building and provide repair recommendations, alongside design of a single-story multipurpose meeting room, housed within a new addition. This project aims to preserve the library’s historic character while updating the space to better serve the needs of modern-day patrons, including improved accessibility. These design measures are intended to ensure that the library continues to be an integral part of Rowe's landscape and community for decades to come.

Design Development is currently underway for this project.
