iHelp Center Providence College, RI
Located in the Phillips Memorial Library in the lower level at Providence College, Rhode Island, is a new, contemporary space for IT department offices and student oriented IT help center, effectively named "iHelp". For many years the A/V support and IT support for separate entities when the college decided to merge these two departments they soughtA space that would encourage full integration between the previously separate departments I help was designed for the lower level of the library so that students and faculty could have ready access to their services.

SSV Architects re-purposed under-used, lower level classrooms which opened up the space for this new project. Our team and the college worked together to design a transparent, open space with a modern aesthetic which would be capable of supporting the needs of a robust IT department and tech-focused student body, particularly including separate IT repair work spaces which service the campus.
